STUDENT WORK AT BLOCK 8
Meanwhile, in the Architectural Studio’s of Block 8, Mary Byrne and Dara Burke have been working with Year 3 students looking at low carbon construction in renewable materials.
After a site visit to Liam McCormick’s auction house in Killybegs. This building is being proposed for an adaptive re use and retrofit project. In teams the students looked at the six themes of the UIA World Congress and the UN 17 Sustainable Development Goals contained within them.
A study was also carried out looking at the impacts of rising sea levels on Killybegs and their proposed site.
